Care of your jewelry
General Care of Jewelry
Fine jewelry needs special care to maintain its beauty. Try to avoid "scrambling" all your jewelry in your jewelry box. This causes metals to scratch pearls, wood and other natural materials.
Keep pearls in a special pouch or in the box provided by Divergence Design. Skin oils, powders and perfumes will eventually build up on pearl surfaces. A light cleaning with mild soap and water on a washcloth will keep pearls fresh looking. Dry with a clean, soft towel.
Sterling silver and gold-filled metals may be gently cleaned with sterling silver polish such as Wrights. Brass and copper metals can be polished with Tarnite Metal polish or other solution recommended for brass and copper. Pearls attached siver pieces are safe when using metal polishes; just thoroughly rinse and dry immediately.
Remember to close the drain before you run the water!
Sizing
Sizing bracelets:
To ensure an accurate fit, please measure your wrist with a tape measure and include this information when ordering. We will add 1/2" to your wrist measurement for the final finished bracelet.
Home Shows and Parties
If you live in or near the Pittsburgh, DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia, Wheeling, or Clevelend areas, feel free to contact me about a home show. Hostesses receive a free gift of jewlery based on total sales. Jewelry making parties and "Girls Night Out" refashioning old jewelry into new, wearable pieces is also available.
